Too much of anything is bad, but too much whiskey is barely enough ~Mark Twain

About Mandi Pryor of MP Marketing and PR:  I began writing in fourth grade after a student teacher Miss Nacopolous at O'Hara Elementary School in Fox Chapel encouraged me to create my first book “A Horse Named Scarlett” and laminated it for me. After that, I was hooked on writing. I received my B.A. in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and served as an intern and editorial assistant for New Beauty Magazine and Luxe Magazine based out of Boca Raton, Florida. Somehow I ended up in the Marketing and Event Planning Industry and started my company MP Marketing and PR. Through the years, however, my bond with books never faltered, so I decided to put my event planning skills behind my passion and organize this debut book event Whiskey and Words in the hopes that many more will follow.

Special Thanks to inspirational speaker and author Carol A.Briney of "Embracing Your Unlimited Possibilities" for her help with this event.

About Wigle Whiskey:

Wigle is a family owned and operated lark. The distillery became operational in

December of 2011 and opened to the public in March 2012 after two years of lobbying to change the state laws to allow for an on-premise model of craft distillery to exist in Pennsylvania. Wigle devotes an enormous amount of resources to innovation and makes each of its dozens of spirits, including Whiskeys, Gins, Honey Spirits and Bitters, grain-to-bottle from local, organic ingredients. Wigle never, ever purchases spirits from bulk suppliers.

Why a Book Event and Why with Whiskey?

Pittsburgh's literary scene is always growing and evolving, however often stuffed into muffled pubs with quiet conversations. Whiskey and Words is an event to bring local authors to the forefront of the 'Burgh's event scene. An event that will combine Pittsburgh's literary masterminds with the delectable drinks of Wigle Whiskey. This is not your average book fair.
